Physicians are also known as medical doctors. The profession of doctors is one of the most respectable professions throughout the world. A doctor usually works in a specific medical department for about 10 hours daily, while some doctors work in several health care facilities and some run their own private clinics. Their duty is to treat diseases, injuries and other illnesses. They have to first diagnose the disease and then suggest an appropriate treatment for it. A physician can specialize in any of the medical fields like anaesthesiologist, cardiologist, gerontologist, ophthalmologist, dermatologist, psychiatrist, and surgeon to increase their earnings and rank in a hospital. Those who want to become a physician need to have a bachelor degree in science subjects. Usually it requires about four years in completing physician’s degree. Some colleges offer a combine package of undergraduate and medical degree, which can be completed in 6 years instead of eight years.
