Physical therapists are medical professionals who help patients to get their body back to normal working condition after an accident or treatment. They usually work in health care facilities under close contact with doctors. Their job is to motivate patients to come back to their lives and help them do this. They guide patients with different exercises to get quick recovery. Physical therapy is a very important part of modern day science because if there would be no physical therapists then patients might get permanent disabilities after a treatment, surgery or accident. To get more understanding of the profession and duties of a physical therapist, we can take the example of a man who has lost his leg in an accident. It would be the duty of physical therapist to bring him out of depression of losing his leg and motivate him to perform his daily activities again. The patient would surely get an artificial leg and then it would be the duty of physical therapist to make him learn how to handle his artificial leg. He would tell him some exercises so that his body can get used to the artificial leg. The job of a physical therapist demands a minimum of master degree in orthopedics.
