A Housekeeper is responsible for the maintenance of premises; it can be a hotel, rest house or a home. Mainly, housekeepers perform all cleaning tasks and assign tasks to junior staff. Their duties vary depending on the nature of place they are serving. For instance in a hotel, housekeepers are responsible to check all rooms and immediately report any damaged or out of order thing like lights, taps, TV etc. They are also responsible for changing bed sheets and putting all stuff back in order. They prepare a list of prospective checking and make sure everything is ready for upcoming guest. Housekeepers working in homes have other duties assigned. They have to clean all rooms of a house, keep all things in order and administer if something needs maintenance. They also receive telephone calls and visitors and provide refreshments to the guests. Housekeepers go to the market and purchase households items including foodstuff and then cook it for the whole family. Some housekeepers work in two to three houses spending a day in each house after two days. These jobs do not require any educational background however; candidate applying for housekeeping jobs must be humble and know about home appliances and their safe usage.
