Mostly people prefer federal jobs as compared to private jobs because federal employees get more benefits and have less fear of losing a job. Government salaries are usually less than the private sector but unlike government, they do not provide compulsory pensions, tuition assistance, medical assistance, life-insurance and retirement benefits. Federal jobs are available in almost every field e.g. construction, engineering, agriculture, financing, banking, law enforcement etc. All government jobs are advertised in newspapers with detailed requirements and eligibility criteria. After finding a relevant job, you would be required to pass a test to prove your qualification. The candidates of such jobs would then appear in an interview and they are informed within few days about final selection. Government have also launched several training programs for labor class so that they can get a job but these programs did not proved to be very successful in the past. Some government officials are not happy with their jobs and usually, they complain that government departmental heads demand too much and provide limited resources. Moreover, a professional mistake in private sector can be forgotten but in case of federal jobs, an enquiry would be held against the person and he would have to prove that it was a mistake was not done intentionally.
